In May 2025, 2025 International Conference on Resilient City and Safety Engineering (ICRCSE 2025), supported by the School of Civil Engineering at Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, successfully convened global experts to address critical challenges in urban infrastructure resilience and disaster mitigation amid climate change.

Assoc. Prof. Jiwei Wen (Shijiazhuang Tiedao University) presented the keynote "Analysis of the Interaction Mechanism between Pipe Section and Soil During Trenchless Pipe Jacking Construction for Urban Underground Infrastructure". His work provides critical insights for minimizing ground disturbance during underground engineering.

Speech Title: Nature Based Solutions for the Flood Mitigation in Landscape Architecture
Assoc. Prof. Nor Atiah Ismail (Universiti Putra Malaysia) delivered "Nature-Based Solutions for Flood Mitigation in Landscape Architecture". Highlighting integrated green infrastructure and smart monitoring systems, she advocated a "Sponge-Digital Twin Framework" to enhance community-centric flood resilience in tropical cities.

Eleven young scholars from institutions including The Institute of Urban Safety and Environmental Science, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, Chongqing Jiaotong University, and Guangxi University presented their research in the oral session. Topics spanned water remediation, heavy metal soil treatment, and low-carbon material development, showcasing the diversity and applicability of resilient city and safety engineeringe research.
The conference concluded at 17:00. The organizing committee affirmed that the ICRCSE conference series will continue to serve as a global platform for academic and industrial collaboration, advancing technological innovation in resilient city and safety engineering.
